Oxhey Activity Park is a modern, purpose-built facility offering space for sport, play and relaxation. The award-winning park provides high-quality facilities including a skate plaza, pump track, playground, café and open green areas.

Park Information

Located on land north of the River Colne, opened in 2020, the activity park brings together a range of activities for young people including skate boarding, BMX cycling and scooting. The activity park has a good mix of street obstacles, as well as a wide mini ramp if you’re after some air time. The park also includes a bike pump track, smooth skate run and off-road bike circuit track catering for all skill levels from beginners’ right up to serious enthusiasts.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy adventurous toddler and junior play areas (disability friendly), pleasant picnic spots, outdoor table tennis tables as well as a riverside café, complete with a green roof.

The paths are accessible to all and the café includes a Changing Places toilet, designed to accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities and their carers

The Park has wildflower meadows and incorporates a stretch of the River Colne so its great for spotting wildlife such as butterflies, dragonflies and wildfowl.

How to get here

Parking:

There is a small pay and display car park off Wiggenhall Road. There are disabled parking bays and car charging points in the car park. 

The park can also be accessed via Dalton Way and the safe crossing point from B&Q to the entrance via the pedestrian crossing.

Public Transport Information:
  • Train: Bushey Station is at 0.4 miles (8 minutes walk).
  • Bus: 142, 258, 306, 8. Dalton Way bus stop is closest and is 9 mins walk. (Please note: the bus links will open on a new tab on your device)
Cycling:
  • The Watford Green Loop, a 6 mile circular recreational route encircling Watford, goes through the park
  • Bike Route: With connections to the existing National Cycle Route 6, which starts in London passes through Watford and goes on to Luton, you can enjoy mainly traffic free cycle paths.
  • Beryl Bike Hire: Bays available on Wiggenhall Road and in the park.
