Park Information

Avenue Park is a large attractive enclosed park surrounded by mature trees which was originally developed back in the 1950s. Its updated leisure facilities cater for young and old alike, whether to enjoy family activities centred around the play area or splash pad or organised sport such as football, cricket or bowls.

Positive Fitness SGX Training is a group-based training programme designed around Spartan SGX Training. Positive Fitness will help improve your fitness, technique, skills and experience for an Obstacle Course Race, also known as OCR.

OCR training is not just for those looking to prepare for a race, if you have tenacity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude and wanting to take your training to the next level then this is for you.

With qualified Spartan SGX coaches and Level 3 Personal Trainers to help you gain the fitness & confidence to take part in an OCR, you will have fun getting OCR ready and will be strides in front of the rest in the field.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A CLASS....

Spartan training is designed to push your fitness levels and help you reach the ultimate goal. Classes can vary from timed Benchmarks, HIIT sessions and Circuit type sessions. Some of the workouts are don't individually and some are done in teams or pairs to allow you to really to get to know your fellow Spartans

Learn 2 Cycle @ Avenue Park, Baldock

12 October to 12 October, between 9:00am and 3:00pm

Learn 2 Cycle This course is aimed at helping children, teenagers and adults gain confidence and learn the skills to ride a pedal bike. Run by an experienced instructor, your 1-to-1 lesson will be tailored to suit your individual needs and ability. These one hour sessions will include activities which will help improve your balance, braking, hazard perception, control and how to use gears (if applicable). Essential information Must have a roadworthy bike with two working brakes, gears and a correctly fitted helmet. Session costs £15 per person for a 1 hour slot.
