Surrounded by a rubber track, the play area is fully surfaced with brightly coloured artificial safety grass for exciting all year round play and learning. The play is fenced and complete with planting and 2 wheelchair accessible picnic tables

The units include 3 different weighted kettlebells, various heights of resistance straps for a varied workout and core twist posts with pull-up bars.

The interactive dancefloor tracks your movements and tests your dance skills using a motion camera. Select from one of five games, young and old can get the party started or challenge their friends to a dance competition.
Since it opened at the beginning of December 2015, it has on average been used more than 2 hours every day.

This is an exciting interactive sports wall with 16 LED impact sensitive panels and LED lights aimed to stimulate all ages to get – and stay – outdoors while containing the excitement, competition and body-eye co-ordination of gaming.  Choose from one of five games from team games, target practice or measure the speed of your shot!

This was the first to be installed in the whole country...and still the best!!!

Wildflower meadow

This area of the park was used as the compound during the construction of the Football Club’s artificial pitch and was then left to regenerate naturally.  Interesting grass species emerged and the Four Parks Friend’s Group requested that the area remains wildflower meadow in the future due to the wildlife benefits it offers

Park Information

Open to the public since 1929, this park is popular for sport and has a range of facilities including two exciting and inclusive childrens play area's, tennis courts, multi-sports courts, interactive play, teen shelter, football pitches, open grassland and a wildflower meadow.

Discover active enhanced play in the space and earth themed play areas before whizzing down the huge tube slide!

The outdoor gym includes Kettlebells, resistance straps and core training.

The park also hosts local events including Movies in the Park, Families Day, Halloween Funday and the Annual Fireworks Display.

Cycling:

Cycle racks available in park near to Brook Road entrance, opposite tennis courts.

A greenway was created in the park in 2018 linking the park facilities from the toddler play area to the Edulf Road entrance.

22 September to 22 September, between 10:00am and 11:30am

We are looking to build a vibrant tennis community at Meadow Park. This session runs on Sunday mornings and are open to anyone of any level and any age. The session is designed to be family friendly so book on all of your family members and come down to give the session a try. You and your family members will be able to participate in the various sub groups appropriate to their age and standard. The groups within the TFF session are: 10.00am -11:00am - Parent & Child Session (equipment is left out until 11:30 to allow parents to continue playing with child after the 10 -11amession) 10:00am – 11:00am - Beginners (typically non-rally capable juniors) 10:00am – 11:00am- Improvers+ (Open Play session with coach supervision follows on until 11.30pm) NOTE: After the 10:00-11:00 coach led session, there is an Open Play session from 11:00 - 11:30am for the Improvers+ group supervised by a coach. To 'book in' for these sessions, you first need to register an account and add your family members to your account. This is a 'one time' process and will take just a minute or two.
